Clean Water for Ukraine

This past week I made the firm decision to travel to the Ukrainian/Hungarian border to support aid efforts for the people remaining in that war torn country. My area of expertise is water quality so that is the primary focus of the trip. As most people know, humans cannot survive without water for more than 3 to 4 days, making it one of the most critical and time sensitive needs. Kids are already dying in Maruipol and other cities, not so much from physical wounds, but rather rampant dehydration and waterborne illness. The time to act is NOW! I depart in 4 days and will be there for a minimum of 2 weeks but not more that 1 month. This mission will be based out of Budapest, Hungary, and I will be supporting the refugee aid efforts from there as well as from the border.

My goals and objectives for this trip are to align with various NGOs (None Government Organizations) including “Make Water Safe for the World”

along with with the Hungarian Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations that are already well established and active there. My primary objective is to acquire, transport and deliver dozens of “State of the Art” (mobile) water disinfection devices that have been developed and manufactured by Rodney Herrington, the founder of Aqua-Research LLC. I am taking two models, the “H2GO” and the larger  “Stream”

Mr. Herrington is an extremely intelligent person with a big, compassionate heart. I encourage you to learn about his background and Aqua-Research LLC. which is based in Albuquerque, NM.  Aqua-Research has provided safe water for people all over the globe. I am determined to get these devices into multiple areas of Ukraine where water quality and infrastructure have been compromised by the war and citizens have been cut off from aid.

Why Budapest as a base?

Budapest is one of the largest metropolitan centers near the western border of Ukraine. It is a modern city with compassionate people who have been through their own struggles for freedom over the years. There are trains and buses arriving and departing daily from Ukraine. I am fortunate to have personal support and some past experience in Hungary having traveled there for training at the Matrix Wellness Center with my dear friend Dr. Gabor Lednyiczky.

How will the funds be used?

Approximately 70% of the money goes to the purchase and transport of the water disinfection devices including Customs Fees, Import Tax, Tariffs etc. Aqua-Research has contributed generous product discounts along with a direct  product contribution of $1,000.00 from the NGO, Making Water Safe For The World. I am pleased to announce that I picked up the devices in Albuquerque last week and have sent out a personal check to pay for them. The remaining 30% funds will supplement my personal contribution, “out-of-pocket” travel costs and local monetary donations onsite. This money and equipment will go directly to where it is needed most. I feel very fortunate to be in the position to make this journey physically and simply put, can no longer sit back and watch these atrocities unfold on TV without doing what I can to help.
