COVID-19 Vaccine
Public Service Announcement
As you may know, it has been very hard for New Mexicans to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Our state is one of the few that is failing to follow CDC guidelines. CDC guidelines state that those who are 65 and over should get the vaccine. New Mexico is sticking with 75 years of age, ignoring many elderly people with serious underlying conditions. As a result, many folks have gained access to the vaccine by heading out of state. We know people who have gone to Amarillo and more recently to southern Colorado.
If you have an interest, go to the Valley Wide Health Services website, vwhs.org. We understand the only requirement is that you be 65 or older. Appointments are available. No problem with being from New Mexico. Call 833-350-1113
